Dhanush who is venturing into direction for the first time with Power Paandi has been regularly updating about the status of the film.

He had completed the film and has shared the information through a tweet that read, “And that's a wrap for #powerpaandi .. so thankful and happy to be able to live my dream. Thank u all for all d encouragement. Spread love”.

The film features Rajkiran in an important role along with Prasanna, Vidyulekha, Dhivyadharshini and others. Sean Roldan is the music composer while Velraj has handled the camera work.  The film is slated for an April 14th release.
