Dhanush is all set to star in Nagavamsi's Siddhartha Entertainment's new film in Telugu. Directed by renowned Telugu director Venky Atluri, the film is produced in Telugu and Tamil. The film is titled Vaathi. Also known as Sir in Telugu. National Award winning editor Naveen Nooli is editing. G V Prakash is composing the music for the film.

The film manages to entertain as well as inform. The film stars actress Samyuktha Menon opposite Dhanush. Filming for this movie started on January 5, 2022. The inaugural film puja was held in January. It was attended by Dhanush, Director Venky and Samyukta Menon.

Meanwhile, Ken Karunas, who starred opposite Dhanush in the film Asuran, has gone viral with the shooting site BTS photos taken with Vaathi film director Venky Atluri. However, there has been no official announcement about Ken's work on the film.
