She penned, “The last few days have been the most difficult, agonising moments of my life. When my perfect world was shattered into a million pieces and I was drowning in sorrow, the love, support and warmth extended by my family, friends, well-wishers from the film industry, but most importantly, Chiru’s fans came as a glimpse of hope to hang on to.”

“I doubt one lifetime would suffice to convey my heartfelt gratitude to all of you. You cried with me, you shred my grief, you felt my pain, you missed Chiru as much as I did. I am eternally grateful for your unconditional love and deep respect for Chiru. Fans who thronged by the thousands to bid Chiru farewell, the film fraternity that stood by us at this difficult time is, for me, a testimony of what my Chiru meant to you. Thank you for bidding him a farewell befitting a king. That’s how he would have wanted it, after all he believed in living life king-size,” she wrote.
