Veteran actor 'Captain' Vijayakanth is one of the most celebrated actors in Tamil cinema. He put his acting career to rest after his entry into Tamil Nadu politics. He formed the 'Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam' and he continues to be it's leader.
The latest information regarding Captain is that his house in Saligramam and his Andal Alagar Engineering college in Theni highway, Mamandur, are to be auctioned by Indian Overseas Bank. The properties are auctioned due to the debt and it's interest owned to the bank. In a general notice informing about the 'E-auction' says that the auction is set to happen on July 26th.
Captain Vijayakanth was last seen in the silverscreen as lead in the 2010 action film 'Virudhagiri', and recently seen in public during the elections which happened recently where he also gave a few interviews with the media, after a long gap, due to health reasons
