BREAKING: ‘PUBG’ MADAN ARRESTED BY POLICE; WILL BE BROUGHT TO CHENNAI – DETAILS

Madan and Kiruthika, both natives of Salem, are engineering graduates. The government has banned PUBG but somehow the game was being played using deceptive methods. Madan and Kiruthika were making videos on strategies for PUBG. Their YouTube channel was popular among teens amongst other people. It is said that they used obscene language in their videos and also swindled money from teens.

Madan has been running his YouTube channel in Chennai for the past two years and earning anywhere between Rs 7-10 lakh a month. The cell phone, the tablet and the computer used in the crime were seized from his house. Cybercrime police had earlier said that Kiruthika did not fully co-operate with the investigation into Madan's whereabouts.

It is learnt that Madan positioned himself as someone who cared for the society and used to advertise PayTM and Google Pay numbers, saying the money collected was for the aid of poor people. However, it is said that the husband-wife duo amassed money for themselves.

While Krithika was working as a programmer from home, the police found that Madan, who plays 18 hours a day without going to work, had millions of rupees in his bank account and bought three Audi cars with the fraudulent amount collected.

It is also learnt that Madan has invested the money earned through YouTube in the stock market and Bitcoin. The cops are adding evidence to take action against Madan under the POCSO Act. In addition, the Central Crime Branch Cyber Crime Division of the Chennai Commissioner's Office has assured that those who have been harassed can boldly lodge a complaint with the Commissioner's Office and their names and details will be kept confidential.
