The granddaughter of the popular writer Vishwanathan (Saavi) is RJ Vaishnavi, popularly known from Big Boss 2 last year. Vaishnavi and Anjan Ravi were in love for the past three years and their wedding happened recently, in a very simple manner indeed. She shared the whole experience in her Twitter handle.
As some of you may know I got married this morning to a very wonderful man I have been with for the last 3 years, @a_flyguy. Neither of us wanted a wedding because of what a colossal waste of money it can be. Our families decided they wanted a small celebration, so we agreed pic.twitter.com/gq4BZz5MIX

They got married in the Ashtalakshmi temple in Besant Nagar and did not use any wedding hall for the ceremony. They did not buy any jewellery, and also, no exchange of ring or mangal sutra (thaali) for the wedding, instead they just exchanged garlands at the a ceremony which lasted for just 10 minutes.
The ceremony lasted all of 10 minutes with us just exchanging garlands and being blessed by the elders. pic.twitter.com/BskPrX1Z3G

They later had a cocktail party with just close friends and relatives. This decision to keep it utmost simple, was made by the couple and their agreed. The couple have said they were not interested to spend a load of money on a single day as it was not necessary to prove and exchange their love.
We didn't have a thaali /mangal sutra, we didn't have an exchange of rings, and we didn't buy ANY gold /diamonds /jewelry for this occasion. I wore artificial jewelry which I picked up at @hm / @Forever21 on both days, and did my own make up too. pic.twitter.com/2hoAaQVLeW

After sharing their wedding and reception ceremony's experiences, Vaishnavi had tweeted that the ceremony went better than planned and that they will use the money saved to feed and take care of more animals which need more help than us, humans. This decision of them not only breaks stereotypes of the society but also creates a positive impact for many other living creatures.
