AN UNFORGETTABLE GOOF UP AT THE OSCARS 2017!

As we all know, the Oscar awards are considered one among the most prestigious of the tags for films across the world. This year’s function, Oscars 2017 which commenced today (IST) witnessed one of the most unforgettable events happening.

The much awaited category, Best Picture,  was announced and the winners “La La Land” directed by Damien Chazelle were called on stage to collect their Oscar. After receiving the Oscar, the La La Land team was in for a shock when the results were changed. The result was altered all of a sudden and the Best Picture award was re-announced with a new winner. It was for the movie “Moonlight” directed by Barry Jenkins and the Moonlight team was then called upon to receive the Oscar.

Quite an eventful award function that saw an unforgettable goof up that does not happen very often and that too for one of the most important categories. Whether this was a pre planned event to spice things up or whether it was an actual goof up remains unknown.
