Behindwoods Gold Short Films Contest is back again, this year, in 2018, after three successful years, and here is what you need to know importantly. 

The main conditions to be followed for participating in the competition includes: 

Language : Tamil / English / Hindi / Malayalam / Telugu

Genre: Any

Time: Less than 45 minutes

Condition: Not available for public in YouTube, Vimeo or any other video platforms

Last Date: Thursday, May 17, 2018, 11.59 PM

Event Date: Sunday, June 17, 2018, 3.30 PM

Event Location: Chennai Trade Center

The winner of the contest will be awarded at the grand awards night on June 17, at Chennai Trade Center, amidst the huge crowd and in the presence of the biggest personalities of the film fraternity.

It can be recalled that the title winner of the first Behindwoods Gold Short Films Contest, Desingh Periyasamy, (who was awarded for his short, '99'), is currently making his debut feature film, Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, starring the vibrant Dulquer Salmaan and beautiful Ritu Varma in lead roles. The second season's winner, Shammeer Sultan (for his short film 'Naan 8'), is the man behind the current trending web series, 'Weekend Machan' (aired on Ondraga Entertainment), that is bankrolled by Gautham Vasudev Menon. Aadhithya Anbu was the third installment's winner, for his short film, 'The Break Up'. He is also gearing up for his debut feature film and we are sure, he will also be making it big.
