Seethakathi marks the comeback of the Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom combo Vijay Sethupathi and director Balaji Tharaneetharan. Produced by Passion Studios, this will be Makkal Selvan's 25th film.
 

We got in touch with Balaji to know about the film's update. "50% of the shooting is over, and we will most likely start the next schedule from this month end. Vijay Sethupathii's portions will be shot, on this schedule. We did the make up test in the USA, a few days back, for his new getup in the film. The result of the makeup test will reach us by this month end, and after that, we'd resume shooting."

Seethakathi also stars veteran director Mahendran, Ramya Nambeesan, Gayathrie, Parvathy Nair in important roles.
