INDIA'S SELECTION FOR BRICS FILM FESTIVAL

Remember Prime Minister Modi’s suggestion at last year’s BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) summit for a film festival that will help improve bonds between the BRICS nations? Well, the BRICS Film Festival is on the cards for September and will take place in India from the 2nd to the 6th September.
Last year’s south Indian epic Baahubali: The Beginning directed by SS Rajamouli has been chosen by a special jury to be screened at the BRICS Film Festival. Four films are to be screened by each country and India’s selection includes Bajirao Mastani (Hindi), Cinemawala (Bengali) and Thithi (Kannada).
