"ManiRatnam sir has the energy equivalent to any newcomer. Made sure I felt comfortable at the sets and helped me give my best. When I worked with STR, I came to know what a beautiful human being he is. I am so happy that Simbu did this film.

AR Rahman was supposed to do music for my first film, but somehow the film did not happen, but here I am with ARR's music for my 25th film. Santhosh Sivan score was a big support, we learned so much from him."

Aishwarya Rajesh - "More than becoming a big heroine, I always wanted to act in good films, act in Mani Ratnam sir's movie. I always wanted to work in Mani sir movie. I was shocked when they invited me to do this role. I play a Sri Lankan Tamil girl. I am mostly asked to act as a rural girl in my movies but for the first time, Mani sir has shown me in a different style. I need to thank this entire team, thank you all so much. I believe this is going to be another Nayagan."
