Bollywood film actor turned producer Arbaaz Khan has been summoned by the Thane police for questioning in regards to a betting probe into IPL, according to reports. This happened post to the arrest of Sonu Jalan, a 42-year old bookie who was accused of betting connections in IPL this season.

Popularly known in gambling circles Jalan is said to be a key person in the betting business, with his activities spread across continents. Police inspector Pradeep Sharma says his annual turnover could be close to Rs 100 crore.

With the ongoing investigation, Producer Arbaaz Khan's name popped up when the police investigated Jalan's house and found a dairy filled with celebrities names involved in the betting scam. Arbaaz was summoned for alleged placements of money on IPL matches this season through bookies.
