Presented by Jio Studios, the film is produced by A.R. Rahman’s production company YM Movies and co-produced by Ideal Entertainment.
The film is based on a young and a passionate love story with music in its soul and will be directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy. 99 Songs features debutants Ehan, Edilsy Varghese and Tenzin Dalha. The film will also feature Lisa Ray, Manisha Koirala, composer-drummer Ranjit Barot and Indian Ocean’s Rahul Ram in the supporting roles.
The film which took 10 years to be made got finally released today, April 16 and during the press meet, when the maestro AR Rahman was asked which film had changed his life. The musician was quick enough to reply the film’s name!
He said that Roja is the first film that changed his life forever and talked more about his latest release 99 Songs. Check out the full video here -
