Music Maestro, AR Rahman, who has been ruling the music industry as well our hearts for several years had earlier announced that he is stepping into the producer’s and the writer’s shoes for the very first time with ’99 Songs’. Presented by Jio Studios, the film is produced by A.R. Rahman’s production company YM Movies and co-produced by Ideal Entertainment.

The film is based on a young and a passionate love story with music in its soul and will be directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy. 99 Songs features debutants Ehan, Edilsy Varghese and Tenzin Dalha. The film will also feature Lisa Ray, Manisha Koirala, composer-drummer Ranjit Barot and Indian Ocean’s Rahul Ram in the supporting roles.

The film is all set to hit the big screens on April 16 and the maestro had revealed that it took 10 years for this film to be made. As the trailer of this film is expected to unveil today, ARR introduces his hero - Ehan Bhat with a heartfelt video!

Welcoming Ehan in the video, the music legend said, “Here’s presenting Ehan Bhat who comes from the land of Kashmir, a place of great beauty & cultural legacy. He learnt to play the piano at our conservatory for a year and is entering the world of cinema as a lead in 99 songs and I hope you love him as we do.”
