RAJINIKANTH TO ACT IN A PLAY…

The Nadigar Sangam had its 62nd annual general body meeting yesterday on the 20th of March at Loyola College, Chennai. This is the first such meeting after the newly elected Pandavar Ani took charge and it was attended by film and theatre artists from all over Tamil Nadu.

A model of Nadigar Sangam’s building, work on which will begin shortly, was revealed at the meeting. The building, which was said to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 26 crore, will have a big marriage hall, a small marriage hall, an auditorium with a capacity of 1,000 seats, a preview theatre, a gym, a dining hall and Nadigar Sangam office. There will also be a car park accommodating 165 cars.

The construction work will begin after Nadigar Sangam star cricket match on April 17th and the funds generated from this event will be made use for the construction of the new building. To generate more funds, there are plans that Vishal and Karthi will team up for a film. There are also plans that would have many stars along with Rajinikanth acting in a play to add to the financials. Sivakumar’s family including Suriya and Karthi will bear the costs of the preview theatre’s construction and Isari Ganesh will take care of the construction expenditure for the mini marriage hall.
