Elections for Producer Council will be held on 2nd April and there are totally five factions which are competing in this election.
Amma Creations T Siva, in an exclusive chat with behindwoods informs that he is withdrawing from the fray. He stated, “I tried my best for everybody’s unity. I met Vishal 3 months ago and told him not to make non-producers stand for office bearer post and have only professional producers stand in the election. I wanted to have a good mix.
But Vishal said he is going to have fresh people. Later we all had talks about merging a lot of groups, but nothing materialized. So I decided let’s avoid this competition. Producer council should be run by producers only. If a group that is totally not concerned about the welfare of the people enters, the council will become useless.
Considering all these, I am withdrawing from the elections and I have decided to extend my support to Radhakrishnan who has travelled with me for four years, who had toiled with me tirelessly and efficiently; who does not expect anybody’s obligation and who does not just depend on cinema for his livelihood.”
