ALIA BHATT TO MAKE HER HOLLYWOOD DEBUT WITH GAL GADOT AND JAMIE DORNAN!

This biographical crime drama film is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and produced by Jayantilal Gada and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film is based on a chapter of Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai.

Gangubai Kathiawadi, starring Alia Bhatt, was released in theaters on Friday, February 25. The film was originally scheduled to release in theaters on September 11, 2020, and then on July 30, 2021 but the film got repeatedly postponed in India due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Gangubai Kathiawadi tells the story of Ganga Harjivandas, a simple woman from Kathiawad who later turns into the biggest don in the red light district of Kamathipura. The film revolves around the story - 'From selling a young girl named Ganga Harjivandas to a brothel to how she becomes the powerful lady of a brothel in Kamathipura'.

Now, it is learnt that actress Alia Bhatt is making her Hollywood debut with the movie - Heart of Stone from Netflix and Skydance. Directed by Tom Harper, the actress will be seen along with Gal Gadot and '50 Shades of Grey' star Jamie Dornan. Already Indian actresses like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone have starred in Hollywood films. Now, Alia Bhatt has also joined this list.

Alia Bhatt also has movies like Brahmastra, Darlings, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and RRR in her pipeline. The actress will be next seen in ‘RRR’ which is all set to release in theaters worldwide on March 25.
