AJITH - VIJAY ON-SCREEN TOGETHER? AJITH CLARIFIES IN A VIRAL THROWBACK!

Fans and movie-lovers have often wondered whether the two stars would come together for a film. An interesting interview from the press meet of Ajith’s film ‘Billa’ has resurfaced on the internet, where he had addressed these questions.

When asked about the clash between the actors, Ajith said, “We (Vijay and himself) have never been enemies. The two of us have competition amongst ourselves just like in any other field, but there is no personal enmity. Competition is healthy as long as it doesn’t affect anyone on a personal level.”

“I am not comfortable doing a multi-starrer because in each hero’s film, around 1500 people are employed. When two heroes come together to work on the same film, the job opportunities reduce. Each of us has our own markets (among audiences) and it is risky when two major actors come together. Unnecessary politics is created, fans may get disappointed and there is added responsibility for the director”, Ajith clarified, when asked about whether he would work on multi-hero subjects in films.

Vijay and Ajith had previously worked together on the 1995 film ‘Rajavin Parvaiyile’ and 'Nerukku Ner', but the latter was unable to complete the film due to other issues and was replaced by Suriya.

Ajith will next be seen in ‘Valimai’ directed by H. Vinoth while Vijay’s next film is Lokesh Kanagaraj’s directorial ‘Master’.
