There has been a talk of top actors in Kollywood taking a pay cut of almost 50 per cent to tide over the current COVID crisis. In wake of this, there had been reports saying Ajith had emailed producer Boney Kapoor of his upcoming film, Valimai, saying that his pay can be discussed whenever the film is ready for release.

However, we have learnt that no such event took place.

Coming to Valimai, Thala would be seen in a cop avatar. Huma Qureshi is touted to play the female lead in this H Vinodh directorial. The film was shot in locales of Chennai and Hyderabad before the lockdown ensued.
