Suriya's Thaana Serndha Koottam is all ready for Pongal release. The Sodakku song that was released had become an instantaneous hit all over.

Suddenly, a member of the AIADMK named Sathish has raised opposition to the song's lyrics, which reads 'Adhigaara thimira, panakkaara power ah velukka thonudhu'. Sathish has said that the lines are misleading and might stop youth from entering into politics.

During an interview with Behindwoods, Sathish was reminded of a similar issue during the release of Mersal to which he replied "In Mersal, what Vijay spoke for the public was right for which he quoted proper statistics in the movie, whereas a stand without any evidence is totally not acceptable."
