AFTER 44 YEARS, SURIYA STEPS INTO FATHER'S SHOES FOR HIS ROLE IN ETHARKUM THUNINTHAVAN!

The nearly 40-second-long teaser showed the 'Soorarai Pottru' actor weilding a sword and walking into a factory. With intense music in the background, there seems to be a lot of people lying injured on the floor. He was also seen holding a gun and shooting. The teaser ends with Suriya holding a sword and smashing it into the ground. His bloodied face and captivating visuals suggest an action movie in the making.

Suriya’s 40th film has got the title 'Etharkum Thuninthavan', but the interesting fact here is that his father and noted Veteran Actor Sivakumar acted a movie with the same title in the year 1977.

The poster of the same has gone viral on Twitter as fans are speculating if Suriya has stepped into his father's shoes for the role in the film. 'Etharkum Thuninthavan' by Suriya comes 44 years after his father's movie which was released in the same name. Although excitement is high on social media regarding the film's release and other details, it remains to be seen if it'll have any similarities or references with Sivakumar's movie.

Directed by Pandiraj, the movie marks his third project with Suriya after Pasanga 2 (2015) and Kadaikutty Singam (2018). Actress Priyanka Arul Mohan who will be marking her Kollywood debut with Sivakarthikeyan's Doctor, will be seen as the female lead in this upcoming film.
