Actor Vijay will be next seen playing the lead in the sports drama Thalapathy 63, written and directed by Atlee. The film stars Nayanthara playing the female lead. Apart from the leads, the film also stars Jackie Shroff, Yogi Babu, Kathir, Indhuja Ravichandran and others in crucial roles.
Vijay commands a massive fan following across the country, especially in the Southern states. The actor has a huge fan base across Kerala and the star's blockbuster films are set to be re-released in theatres across the state. So far, over five films have been released in the span of two months and this month itself will witness over twenty-eight releases in the coming days.
Various films of the superstar have been released, ranging from Vijay's 2005 film Ghilli to his latest releases. On the day of the actor's birthday, many theatres across Tamil Nadu will be screening his earlier blockbusters as part of the throwback series. Vettri theatres will be screening his 2007 blockbuster, Pokkiri, in 6 P.M.
Post Thalapathy 63, the actor has signed up his upcoming film, titled Thalapathy 64, this project will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is produced by Xavier Britto.
