Recently, Twitter India released a list of the most tweeted hashtags in India this year in the general category, and Bigil was featured in the list at the sixth position, surpassing the superhero epic Avengers: Endgame. In addition to that, Vijay's tweet about the first look poster of Bigil has fetched the maximum number of retweets this year.
Twitter has also released the top entertainment handles in India and members Bigil's team- director Atlee, actor Vijay, music composer AR Rahman and creative producer Archana Kalpathi were also present in the list. The film was praised for touching socially relevant themes.
Produced by AGS Entertainment, Bigil released on October 25 this year. The 130 crore project emerged as a superhit and is currently running in theatres.
