It was officially announced that Vamshi Paidipally will be directing his next film which is tentatively referred to as Thalapathy 66. Produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film stars Rashmika Mandanna opposite Vijay.

The pooja of this film was held at a private studio in Chennai on April 6. It was attended by director Vamshi, producer Dil Raju, Rashmika Mandanna and actor Vijay.

Meanwhile, Vijay and Chief Minister Stalin suddenly met at the wedding reception of AGS Kalpathy Aghoram's family that was held at Thiruvanmiyur Ramachandra Center. Both the celebrities who had attended the reception met each other there.
