CONTROVERSY: 'DIRECTOR MYSSKIN BETRAYED ME' - SAYS THIS YOUNG HERO

It is reported that maverick filmmaker Mysskin will be teaming up with Udhayanidhi Stalin for his next film titled Psycho with Aditi Rao Hydari and Nithya Menon playing the female leads.

Rumors have it that budding actor Maitreya, son of famous financier and producer Ragunanthan was initially planned to play the protagonist role in this film. The film later went to the hands of actor Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and now has finally been handed to actor Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Maitreya has now uploaded an official video on social media platforms expressing his disappointment and regret towards director Mysskin for failing to fulfill his commitment with the actor.

"On July 10th, 2015, director Mysskin, my father (Ragunanthan) and I signed an agreement to do a project together where I will be the hero, my father will be the producer and Mysskin sir will be the director. Post signing the agreement, my father as a producer had given Mysskin sir a lump sum amount of money to take the project forward.

Mysskin sir had at that time promised me that, after completing his film titled Savarakathi he will be working on this project with me. He failed to do so for a year and when I approached him once again, he stated that he has an important film with actor Vishal underway and will have to concentrate on that. He asked me for 6 months time which we gracefully granted him.

I was personally practicing to play the character in the meanwhile and I rejected all the other projects I was approached for in order to focus on this. I once again did not hear anything from him for a year and when I approached him yet again, he stated that he is doing the film with another actor and that he will not be able to return the money at the moment. The film titled Psycho should have been my project and now it is out of my hands, I feel betrayed.

Everyone has been telling me to take this issue to the court with my agreement, but out of all the respect and love, my dad and I have towards sir, we wish to let him decide what he wants to do for this injustice.
