In her video, Abhirami said “I am doing my MA in Madras University. Right from the beginning, there has not been a proper response from the folks at Madras University. I wrote my final exams a couple of days ago and I want to share the incidents that happened during that.”

“Most of us had been waiting from 9:30 in the morning for the exams to commence, but they started it at 2:30 pm. A day long exam is not a joke and is really tiring, mentally. After I sent the PDF’s to the concerned faculty, they are very casually saying it is deleted and are now asking the students to send everything again.”

“When I called my HOD, she said that I need to know who my classmates are to take up the exam. I don’t understand. For one to take up their exam, aren’t the roll number, subject, exam date and of course, the knowledge in the subject enough? I had also paid the fees right on time.”

“My HOD suddenly hung up the call mid-way and every time I tried calling her, she hung up on me. I have sent her a voice message and she is now saying that it isn’t audible. Anyone with ears can listen to the voice message that I have sent.”

“If you are someone who has faced this or a similar situation with the University or if you are someone who has contacts to take this issue up to the right person, please ping me. Let’s not cave in. These are our rights and let’s stand together for one cause - betterment of all students,” signed off Abhirami.
