Vetri Maaran’s directorial Visaranai had recently received the Amnesty International Italy’s "Cinema for Human Rights" award at the 72^nd Venice International Film Festival. The film is produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar films and Vetri Maaran’s Grass Root Film Company.

Naturally elated by the turn of events, Vetri Maaran took to Twitter to thank people. In successive tweets, he said,

“Thanks Dhanush without you VISAARANAI would not have happened”.

“Thanks my cast and crew for putting up with me while the making of VISAARANAI”.

“Thanks to media friends for making big stories of our Venice screenings. Wish to live up to the expectations of the audiences now”.

Visaranai has brought laurels and the audiences are now waiting to catch the same in silver screen.
