Upcoming actress Varsha Bollamma is more known for her striking resemblance to Nazriya Nazim and her dubsmash video mouthing Raja Rani dialogue. The young girl from Coorg is currently busy with three Tamil films in her kitty.

She talks about her entry into films and her projects

Dubsmash video and my first film Sathuran

I would first like to clarify that my film entry happened before my dubsmash video. It has been reported the other way round in the media. I got my first film Sathuran through an agency Screen Dream. I came to Chennai, auditioned for the role and was selected. Sathuran is an action oriented thriller. I play a normal girl, but with a past. The film is directed by debutant Rajeev Prasad and Moodar Koodam Rajaji is the hero. The audio launch will be happening next week.

Ivan Yaarendru Therigiradhaa

My second film is Ivan Yaarendru Therigiradhaa. I am not supposed to reveal much about this. I was not even sure if I could do this role. The entire movie is humor based except my role which is the only serious one. Vishnu Kumar of Vijay TV fame is my hero in this film.

Yaanum Theeyavan

My third film is Yaanum Theeyavan. I play a happy go lucky girl. I finally get to laugh in this film, a little different from the earlier ones and the role was challenging to me. Newcomer Ashwin is the hero.

Acting lessons

Although I have not had any acting lessons, as days go by, I keep learning and bettering myself with every film. I owe my thanks to Sathuran director who taught me the technical aspects of film making. I have learnt on the job and continue to learn.

Favorites

I love Atlee’s work and would like to be part of his films. I have no preferences as such and I am open to good scripts that come my way. I am fond of Ajith, Suriya and Arya and I love to work with them.

Have you met Nazriya?

No. I am yet to meet her. Wherever I go, I keep hearing the same comment that I look like her. Initially, it was a little weird but now I have got used to it.
