1 CRORE FOR CHENNAI FROM THE MAGNANIMOUS KING KHAN

Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan (SRK) does maintain a connect with the city of Chennai. Nothing more obvious than his 2013 blockbuster film Chennai Express which had many South Indian elements and had its lead actress Deepika Padukone play a Tamil girl. Sathyaraj was also a part of this film which had a special tribute number (Lungi Dance) to Superstar Rajinikanth.

 

SRK was expected to contribute something to the relief efforts following the heavy Chennai rains and floods, and it has come to our notice now that the Megastar has donated 1 crore to the TN CM's Public Relief Fund. A substantial contribution indeed from the 'Dilwale' star who has also saluted the people of the city for their resilience and unity, through a press release doing its rounds in the social media.
