''Our hard work for Kanchana 2 has paid off'' - Raghava Lawrence

Raghava Lawrence's latest horror comedy, Kanchana 2 is the talk of the town. The film also featured Taapsee, Kovai Sarala, Nithya Menen and Jayaprakash in important roles.

This film has seen a grand opening in the theaters across Tamil Nadu as the A, B & C class audience seem to enjoy the movie a lot. When our Behindwoods correspondent spoke to Lawrence about the successful opening, he said, ''It is just the hard work of two years. Our main goal was to make the people laugh and I believe we have made that happen''.

Did he expect such a mass opening? The dancer-director-actor said, ''We had absolutely no expectation for Kanchana 1 but that worked massively among the masses. But, we did set an expectation for this film. People were awaiting this movie and I think we delivered what was expected''.

Known for his remarkable dancing abilities, when we asked if he worked specifically on trying out a different style of choreography for the song sequences, he said, ''To be honest, I didn't work too much on the dancing part. I only put in extra effort while working on the script and the screenplay. Now I guess all the hard work has paid off''.
