JAYAM RAVI'S NEXT FOLLOWS KATHTHI'S EXAMPLE ?

The upcoming Jayam Ravi film directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan is under production at a good pace. We had earlier reported that the first schedule of the film was wrapped in Ooty, where about 40% of the film was canned.

 

This is apparently one of those rare mainstream commercial films which wouldn't have a single smoking or drinking scene, even in the background. Therefore, the makers point out that there wouldn't be the need to display statutory warnings at any point of the film. This is a laudable initiative indeed that too at a time when usage of alcohol and cigarettes are becoming part and parcel of films, that too in songs and comedy sequences.

 

Supposedly Kaththi was one other recent mainstream film which didn't have any statutory warnings for alcohol or cigarette usage at any point in the film.
