BAAHUBALI SURPASSES KATHTHI ...

Earlier in the day, we had reported in our Behindwoods Chennai city box-office report that SS Rajamouli's all-time blockbuster Baahubali has grossed around 8.10 crores in Chennai city till date, after crossing the 50 days mark in its 8th weekend. 

 

The 8 crores mark is sort of a magical figure in Chennai city, and since the beginning of 2014, only 'I' has crossed this mark (with a total Chennai city gross of 9.67 crores). The other big blockbuster in recent times, Vijay's Kaththi grossed around 7.83 crores.

 

To surpass a biggie like Kaththi is definitely something to be proud about. The kind of response that Baahubali is showing at the box-office is remarkable and we have to see for how long it can hold strong.
