Tharai Thapattai directed by Bala is a landmark film in the sense that it is the 1000th film of music composer Ilayaraja.

 

The audio of the film was said to be launched on the 17th of December but due to the rains and the havoc caused by the recent floods in TN have made the team to postpone the date. Now sources state that the music launch is likely to happen on the 25th of December but in a very simple manner. We also hear that the maestro is currently busy in the re-recording work of the film.

 

Tharai Thapattai features Sasikumar and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the leads which is about the traditional folk arts of Tamil Nadu. Official confirmation about the audio release details is expected soon.
