The trailer for National award winner Anil Radhakrishnan Menon’s Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi has sparked off a volley of excitement and expectation. From what the trailer suggests, the film is the story of eight different individuals traversing through a dense jungle in search of a village called 7000 Kandi and supposedly touches upon the issue of deforestation, among other things.
After narrating the story of seven thieves in his last outing, Sapthamashree Thaskaraha, the director now features an ensemble cast of eight including Kunchako Boban, Sunny Wayne, Nedumudi Venu, Chemban Vinod, Reenu Mathews, Jacob Gregory, Sudheer Karamana and Bharath. You can see that the director has opted to stick with his favourites Nedumudi Venu, Chemban Vinod and Sudheer Karamana with whom he has worked in his previous films.
The trailer of this fantasy film shows off some impressive camera work against breathtaking sights of nature and teases us with a nail-biting storyline unlike anything experimented with in the genre for a Malayalam movie. It opens with an interesting premise: “A letter that changed the lives of 171 people”, which already has the audience curious as to what the contents of that letter in question could be.
Rex Vijayan has done the music for the film, which features a background score by Sushin Shyam. Going by the director’s last two films, Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi sure promises something different and interesting for the audience!
