“This isn’t a porn movie”

SS Kumaran, the director of the recently released Kerala Naattilam Pengaludane has been facing a very peculiar problem. Although the title has been modified from one of poet Bharathiar’s works, the film is being rumoured to be a soft porn movie.

“My film is a U certified family entertainer and not a porn movie. I’ve made a decent film, with a story that has never been dealt in Tamil cinema. Yet, a section of the people is spreading word that mine is a porn movie,” complained the director in a recent interview.

“In fact, a theater refused to screen my movie. Later, Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu, who has penned the songs for the movie, stepped up, spoke to the concerned people, vouched that this is a good film and sorted out the issue,” explained Kumaran.
 

Kerala Naattilam Pengaludane stars Abi Saravanan, Renuka, Gayathri, Dikshitha, Kaali and Gnyanasambandham in the central roles.
