Kaththi and Thala 55 - Ruling Facebook

'Trending' is a new feature on Facebook's home page which shows the popular topics and hashtags that are being talked about on Facebook. The concept is similar to the trends on Twitter.

When the title of the Vijay - Murugadoss film was announced as Kaththi, #Kaththi was on top of the Facebook trends on that particular day, and similarly when a couple of working stills from the Ajith - Gautham film were released, #Thala55 was on top of the Facebook trends.

Both Ajith and Vijay are known to enjoy among the biggest fan followings in the country, particularly among the youth who are literally living on the internet on a day to day basis. That their films and every connected update, are hot on Twitter and Facebook comes as no surprise.

While Kaththi is set for release this Diwali, Thala 55 can be expected towards the end of the year.
