I have pledged my house too

AMR Ramesh, the director of Vana Yudham, the biopic of Veerappan, might have got a clean chit from the Apex Court to release his film. But he hasn’t entirely been relieved off the controversy surrounding the film. Muthulakshmi Veerappan has now supposedly demanded a massive sum of Rs. 25 lacs from AMR Ramesh as compensation.
In a statement, the director questioned about his freedom of expression. He also said that he has pledged his house to make the film and asked how he can possibly arrange for such a massive amount in a day. “I can manage the amount. But, if I pay her, will Muthulakshmi allow me to add all those scenes she wanted to be removed?” questioned the director.
Indicating her and her daughters’ safety, Muthulakshmi had asked for 32 cuts initially, which were done. “But now her eyes are on money”, complains AMR Ramesh.
