MAFIA STAR ARUN VIJAY IS KOLLYWOOD'S BATMAN - 25 YEARS OF ARUN VIJAY

Home > Columns

'Ever-inspiring' is one word that sums up the fluctuating journey of Batman, known as the dark knight and watchful protector. A man who transforms into a hero by embracing countless endeavors passionately,  thereby shaping him into his best self. With the above line, I was referring to actor Arun Vijay and not Bruce Wayne. Amazing similarity, right?

Arun Vijay entered Kollywood in 1995 (right when he simultaneously entered his adulthood) , and he has been in the industry for 25 years now, which is being celebrated by his fans right now. Despite being from an affluent family, Arun Vijay, like Bruce Wayne, faced a lot of struggles in his early stages, and he too had a tiring journey of self-discovery.

It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that Arun Vijay's found his 'Ra's Al Ghul' in the form of 2015 blockbuster 'Yennai Arindhaal' a project that is headlined by industry heavyweights Gautham Menon and Ajith Kumar. (Obviously they did not turn evil later) Equivalent to his career, Arun Vijay's physical transformation is undoubtedly on par with that of the Batman. The actor has set major goals for the young guys to look up to, and thanks to him, gym subscriptions increased yet again after Suriya's Vaaranam Aayiram craze.
