It
is quite some time since we
had a really scary movie that
went on to become a hit. Yaavarum
Nalam looks to be a potential
candidate for success.
A family moves into a new apartment
on the 13th floor. It is just
like any other urban family.
There’s Madhavan, his
wife (Neetu Chandra), his mother
(Saranya) and others. It is
a typical happy family. It is
coincidental that the very day
they move into their new home
a TV serial begins titled |
|
|
|
|
|
Yaavarum Nalam. The serial is also about
a family that has moved into a new home.
Madhavan and his family’s surprise,
the events that unfold in the serial begin
to replay in their lives too. After a point,
the serial starts taking turns to the darker
side, there is danger. Madhavan’s
family fears that the danger on the small
screen will play out in their lives too.
What happens to them? Check out in theaters.
Kudos to Madhavan for signing up this film
where the script is obviously the hero.
He has made it a habit of selecting such
stories.
The premise is undeniably refreshing and
interesting and if the director (Vikram
K Kumar) has handled it well, it will definitely
be worth a watch for the thrills and chills.
Let’s hope for a good one so that
the horror genre gets its due again. |
