Sundar.
C is back after quite a long
gap by his standards, he is
used to releasing movies in
quick succession. His last release
Aayudham Seivom did not offer
much cause for celebration.
This time he is under Vincent
Selva’s direction in Perumal.
It has been in the making for
a while now, reasons for the
delay are not very clear. However,
all’s well that ends well
and Perumal is releasing this
Saturday. |

What do you expect in a Sundar. C movie?
In the few movies that he has had so far,
Sundar. C has managed to patent a variety,
not that there is much variety to the films
that he does, but that he has a small time
commercial entertainer tag attached to him.
Perumal is not expected to be any different.
A little bit of everything, action, drama,
romance, sentiments and comedy. Namitha
brings in the glamour factor and has reportedly
sizzled in a song ‘Enna Seyya’.
Once again, Vivek teams up with Sundar.
C and we can expect a few hilarious moments
on screen.
Besides this, the other highlights of the
film are the cityscape of Hyderabad captured
effectively on camera and a quite daringly
shot action sequence in the premises of
a windmill. Srikanth Deva with the music
has churned out his usual fare, springing
a surprise with a remix of the yesteryear
Bhagyaraj hit ‘Kadhal Vaiboghame’.
The movie looks set to repeat the quiet
success that most Sundar. C films have
had in the past. However, this time, Perumal
is running straight into a massive release;
Naan Kadavul. Sundar. C’s hold over
the small center audiences will be put
to serious test in the face of this competition.
It will be an interesting duel.
