Although after months of delay, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan's Aarohanam is finally releasing, it has already created enough positive buzz around it. Screened for the veterans of Tamil cinema and extolled by one of the big names of the industry, K Balachander, Aarohanam is sure to evoke curiosity among fans that are on the lookout for quality art-house cinema.

Actor Lakshmy Ramakrishnan turns director with Aarohanam and the movie is only 90 minutes long and is made at about a budget of 34 lakhs. An emotionally charged story about a 17-year-old boy and his sister's search for their missing mother, Aarohanam is set in a day and narrates the incidents happen as a series of events. Shot in Canon EOS 5D, the movie is said to be completed in 20 days.

Lakshmy believes the smaller duration of the film will be the selling factor of the movie. And the fact that low budget films are clicking at the box office, Aarohanam stands a chance to make it big. The film stars Jayaprakash, Viji Chandrasekhar, Kavithalaya Krishnan, Uma Padmanabhan, Rajee Vijayasarathy and Sampath Raj.

The movie is scored by K and the soundtrack has 3 songs and 3 instrumental tracks. The movie is brought to screen by AVA Productions and Monkey Creative Labs and is releasing this weekend.
