After lying low for a while, Karan is back with a new movie Thambi Vettothi Sundaram (TVS). Known for his penchant to carve a niche for himself in low budget movies, Karan's Thambi Vettothi Sundaram is releasing after a while (after last year's Irandu Mugham). TVS is directed by Vadivudaiyan and has Anjali playing Karan's female lead. Supposedly inspired from real life events and real people, TVS is widely shot in the Kanyakumari district. The movie showcases the lives of three people and how it intersects with each other in interesting proportions. Director Vadivudaiyan states that he even had to obtain permission from a few people to depict their life story onscreen. He showed the script to the real people depicted in the movie and took their consent before the movie went on floors.
Produced by Senthil Kumar, the movie also has Saravanan and Kanja Karuppu playing significant roles. Vairamuthu has penned lyrics for Vidyasagar's tunes and the album has only four songs to boast about. We hope the director deliberately kept away from adding more songs so as not to hinder the flow of the movie. TVS releases this weekend as the Diwali lull is settling in.
