What with the season of small time movies making it big in the industry, Rattinam bears all similarities of one such movie. The movie has relatively lesser known cast and crew that includes mostly debut actors. Directed by Thangasamy, Rattinam is scored by Manu Ramesan - both will be testing the Tamil cinema waters with Rattinam.

Rattinam has Laguparan and Swathi in lead roles and is set in the village backdrop. Gautham Menon, who recently watched the movie is said to be impressed by it. He reportedly said that the movie looks good and is like "Vinnaithandi Varuvaya but with a village backdrop."

Rattinam, a love story of school-going teens, is releasing this weekend.
