Arjun is back as a cop! There will not be any actor in world cinema who has played the cop quite as many times as our own Action King has. This time it is special because he returns as the honest and righteous cop after the rather villainous outing in Mankatha. Maasi, the movie has been in the making for quite some time now; we had almost forgotten about it. One believes that the movie was first announced somewhere in 2010. Well, it must have almost sunk, but it is very much here and shall hit screens this Friday. According to Arjun, it will be a cop story which is not just about fights and dances; the basic concept of the film will be something novel. The movie has been written and directed by Kicha.

Besides Arjun, Maasi will have Kota Sreenivasa Rao, Mayilsaamy, Santhanabharathi, Paandu and Ponnambalam in important roles. The heroine will be played by debutante Hema. There is also another actress debuting as the second heroine through Maasi. Music for Maasi has been scored by Dhina.

For all those who have enjoyed Arjun’s movies all these years, we know what to expect. Some excellent action sequences and very strong dialogues. And, if we are lucky, there will also be a very enjoyable comedy track which has been one of the hallmarks of many Arjun starrers down the years.
