Mirattal marks the comeback of R.Madhesh to direction after Arasangam which released in 2008. Mirattal stars Vinay Rai and Sharmila Mandre in lead roles. Vinay is also back to the silver screen after a hiatus post Modhi Vilayadu and Dam 999. Mirattal’s music has been composed by Pravin Mani.

This is the remake of the superhit Telugu movie Dhee which released in 2007, starring Vishnu Vardhan Babu and Genelia. The filming of Mirattal has been extensively done around England and particularly in London. 

Genelia was originally approached to reprise her role in Tamil too, but she refused the offer. Another interesting tidbit is that Mirattal was originally titled Thillu Mullu. The trailers have positioned Santhanam prominently and the makers have also guaranteed action, romance and comedy.

Will Mirattal live up to the promise? August 2nd will provide that answer.
