18 Vayasu marks the return of the Renigunta team comprising director Panneerselvam, lead man Johnny and producer NIC Arts Chakravarthy. This movie is apparently a psychotic one where a mentally challenged youngster exhibits animal instincts whenever he has to exhibit any of his feelings like happiness or depression or anger.

The director asserts that such a concept has not been tried in Tamil cinema before. There are eight such sequences where the hero exhibits animal-like behavior and these sequences would be something new for the audiences.

Newcomer Gayathri plays the female lead and the object of desire of the mentally unstable hero. The film has been shot in Chennai, Theni, Madurai and Thiruchengodu. The music has been tuned by two Srilankan Tamils, Dinesh and Charles Bosco.

18 Vayasu hits the screens this weekend.
