Puli Vesham marks the return of P Vasu to Tamil cinema. His last outing was Superstar’s Kuselan. He has been busy making films in Telugu and Kannada. Now he is back and he comes armed with a script that he is confident will create waves. The veteran director revealed that the film deals with the emotion, anger and how it remains coiled up within individuals like a crouching tiger while bringing out the circumstances that prompt the tiger to spring out.
RK of Ellam Avan Seyal and Azhagarmalai fame is the hero. He has lost weight for the role and has tried to look all sleek and hard muscles like the tiger. Sada is the heroine. She has been out of the running in Tamil cinema for quite some time now and this film is her comeback vehicle. Her character harkens back to the kind of strong village belle characters that Radhika used to play back in her heydays and Sada is kicked about it.
Karthik who was last seen in Raavanan in a cameo appearance is supposed to have a strong role in this film. The yesteryear actor who gave brilliant performances in movies like Mouna Ragam, Agni Natchathiram, Gokulathil Seethai, and Ullathai Alli Tha will definitely be a treat to watch and is likely to be the USP of this film.
The P Vasu and Karthik combination is going to be interesting as both have the ability to take the audience completely by surprise. Whether the audience will be pleasantly surprised or not will be known soon enough when Puli Vesham releases on August 26th.
