Uyarthiru 420 marks the debut of lyricist Snehan as a full-fledged hero. Snehan got noticed in the Ameer film, Yogi where he was seen in a supportive role and now it is his turn to shine as hero. The heroine is Meghna Raj, who has appeared in quite a few Telugu and Malayalam films. Directed by Premnath and produced by R Chandrasekar, Uyarthiru 420 promises to be a fresh concept.
As the title suggests, the film follows the male protagonist who is something of a conman who traverses along the path fate has decreed. This character is supposed to be a fascinating study and the lifeblood of the film. The director has attempted to show what it is that makes men like that tick and choose to do the things they do. The film also takes a look at the evil that is poverty and the desperate things people will do to raise themselves to a higher station in life.
This is not to say that the film will be an arty one because though the concept and the philosophy behind it may be heavy, it is said to be woven into a commercial format. Uyarthiru 420 is touted to be a proper action entertainer with the right doses of masala, romance, adventure and sentiment.
The music has been composed by Mani Sharma. Lyrics for the songs have been written by Vaali, Snehan, Arivumathi, Kruthiya, and Sundar Phadke. There are five tracks in the album and a theme song. The music has been well received and it is believed that the songs will be a plus for the film.
Other cast members are Chandrasekar, Akshaya, Jayaprakash, and Vaseegaran. Given the relatively unknown cast, it would appear that the makers are very confident about the script and their film.
