fast paced, action packed commercial entertainer
is all set to hit the theaters this weekend;
Aadu Puli. The title gives you an inkling
about the nature of the movie and director
Vijay Prakash has also acknowledged that
his debut venture is an out and out commercial
which looks to entertain from the word go.

life there. However, it will not be like any of the
umpteen other films that have been made on this premise,
claims the director.
Aadu Puli will be a major test for Aadhi- the commercial
hero. He ventured into the commercial-family-action
genre with Ayyanar and continues his tryst through Aadu
Puli. Ayyanar had received some good reviews but could
not translate in to a big theatrical success that would
have cemented Aadhi’s place in the commercial
heroes list. Poorna too will be looking to take her
value a few notches higher after a relatively quiet
2010. However, Aadu Puli is not just about Aadhi and
Poorna. The film boasts of an array of experienced artistes
who will definitely be of great strength. Prabhu, K.R.Vijaya,
Nizhalgal Ravi, Ravichandran, Anupama Kumar etc. constitute
the strong supporting cast.
Music for Aadu Puli has been scored by Sundar C Babu
whose recent release Thoonga Nagaram has come in for
appreciation. He has composed nine numbers for Aadu
Puli which definitely means that the director has given
a lot of importance to music in his film. Producer Michael
S Rayappan for his part has been giving the film quite
a bit of healthy promotion through the media which will
stand it in good stead. After all, the theatres are
now buzzing with films like Yudham Sei and Payanam,
both of which have garnered lot of appreciation. Also
add to this the fact that Gautham Menon’s Nadunisi
Naaygal will also be releasing on Friday, Aadu Puli
will need all the publicity that it can get. Go enjoy
the action, thrills, romance and sentiments of Aadu
Puli in theatres from the 18th of February. |
