Sundar C’s direction venture
Rendu that is produced by Kushboo
starring Madhavan and Reema Sen in
the lead went through the scissors
of Censor Board officials recently.
After deliberations, it was decided
that the movie would be released with
A certification.
Rendu stars Madhavan in two roles
and Reema Sen and Anushka are the
two bombshells to supply the glamour
quotient. On the other hand, the officials
raised objection to certain scenes
stating that there is way too much
violence and blood shedding and demanded
for cuts. However, Sundar explained
the significance of those scenes and
declined the officials’ request.
Following this, the officials decided
to grant A certification to the movie.
Maddy
plays the role of an employee in a trade
fair in one of the characters and an assassin
in the other. The bloodshed executed by
the assassin role seemed to have caught
the attention of the censor officials eventually
making it imperative to issue A certification.
While this may initially prevent the family
audiences from visiting the theaters, it
might not affect the movie’s overall
result, one can assume.
